Meet The Team

Steve Wigmore is a seasoned Intellectual Property Law Specialist Attorney of more than 20 years, and is outside intellectual property (IP) counsel for the Fender2Fender team. He is a partner with the Smith Temple Legal Firm, where he supports a wide range of patent clients, from individuals to Fortune 100 companies. Steve counsels start-ups in building, maintaining and enforcing intellectual property portfolios. His clients are both US-based and international, seeking patent protection in the United States.

Before working with Fender2Fender, and prior to joining Smith Tempel, he spent 10 years as senior counsel with the King & Spalding Legal Firm in Atlanta. Steve has had the unique experience of being a former U.S. Utility Patent Examiner very early in his career while attending law school at night in Washington D.C. He believes his USPTO experience has led to many successful client-issued patents.

Steve's passion outside his law practice is tennis. He plays regularly and has played in the ALTA tennis league for many years, all while balancing the labor of love as a father and husband to his family. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and holds a J.D. from The Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.
